DAKOTA KASPER, B. Comm
Dakota Kasper is the founder & President of Grandhaven Inc. After earning a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta in 2014, Dakota spent 7 years working for a Business Valuation firm in Edmonton as financial analyst. During this period Dakota coached for a local competitive swim club and pursued the Chartered Financial Analyst program passing all three levels and continues to work towards his full designation.
In January 2020, Grandhaven Inc. was launched with a simple mission: apply the Golden Rule. An entrepreneurial spirit combined with a passion to help others Dakota and partner Nicholas are excited to share their knowledge. With a wealth of financial expertise behind them, Dakota appreciates the advantages that boutique management offers. This approach is centred around portfolio managers providing a private investment experience to all their clients.
Born and raised in Alberta, Dakota has enjoyed participating in various sports throughout his life. The dynamic challenges sports provided suited the drive and grit of his personality. Outside of work Dakota loves to spend time socializing with Friends & Family and new adventures. This year Dakota’s goal is learning to play the guitar.
Dakota is excited for what the future holds and hopes that one day, people can experience the Golden Rule within the investment industry.
NICHOLAS KASPER
Nicholas Kasper brings his expertise in financial planning and strong entrepreneurial skills to his role at Grandhaven Financial Asset Inc. Nicholas was formerly the senior vice president of a financial planning subsidiary of Citi-Group. During his ten years with the company, Nicholas built a professional sales force of 230 representatives, overseeing 33,000 client accounts. The company became the fourth-largest franchise agency in Canada and ranked among the Top 60 in North America under his leadership.
Nicholas also served on the board of directors of several public and private companies, including a position as Chairman of the Board at Airworks Media, a publicly traded Canadian technology company. Nicholas was also the founder and president of Silver Spur Properties Inc. and Pure Windows in Alberta.
Nicholas enjoys golf, cycling and spending time with his family. His is a proud husband of 39 years to his wife, Barbara, has five adult children, and is proud to be called grandpa by eight grandchildren.
